About the Author

 Linda Gorsline
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a book in my hands . . . or characters from books running through my head.

From my first years living in a small beach community to moving into the countryside near tiny towns in rural settings — surrounded by mountains, forests, foothills and rivers — I was an outdoor kid. When I wasn’t reading for hours along the banks of a rippling river, I was often hiking up hills and mountains or walking along dry riverbeds, making up stories about princesses and trolls, goblins and elves. And dragons.

I have worked as a professional freelance writer, full-time and part-time over the years, researching and writing original content for corporate websites, as well as brochures, company profiles and other marketing materials.I also composed product-oriented articles for my website clients, published online in e-zines.

With a love of travel and scuba diving, my first published pieces were dive-travel articles in Diver magazine, a Canadian publication.

Now I live in Southern California with my super awesome husband, who has the patience of a saint and the tenacious encouragement of a coach. As I plugged away for years to research and create my imaginary worlds, including the inevitable rewrites, evolution and countless edits to perfect my story, he has always believed in my book.

Dragonnapper is my first novel — A Middle-Grade Adventure-Fantasy, Ages 8-12
